This poster was submitted to the contest for the Bele Chere Festival Poster for 2000. I used Adobe Illustrator to do most of the work; then I used Adobe Photoshop to add some extra touches. I wish I could say I won the contest, but I didn't. I was working under a time strain and would have liked to have given it more time. It is still an attractive poster and serves as a good example of my ability to work with deadlines.

This poster was designed to be reusable. The large blank area in the lower right can be filled with information about events - either added in a digital file and printed, or, in a pinch, hand labeled. The people shown were all employees of New York, New York Jazz Club. I photographed them and went to work in Photoshop to add in all the crazy, fun stuff. My favorite part is King Kong battling the airplanes in the background.

I attended Purchase College with the bandmembers of this excellent jazz band. I worked up a poster and ads and they performed at my Senior Exhibition as trade. I appreciate all the other, non-visual arts and it was a great feeling to collaborate with the excellent artists these musicians were. They turned out to be highly successful playing jazz in New York City.

This poster was commissioned by Robert, the owner of Liquid Dragon, who provided three separate black outline drawings of the girl, the rocket, and the planet - very much like coloring book illustrations. The drawings were scanned, combined in Photoshop, and then 'colored'. The fun stuff was adding all the special effects and pulling the whole thing together.
